Dr. Hans-Peter Hülskötter
has been a member of the Executive Board of arvato AG since 2005, with responsibility for the entertainment and IT/high-tech EMEA business units as well as for business activities in Asia/Pacific and arvato’s activities in North and South America. He was born on August 4, 1960, in Ostbevern, Westphalia.
Hülskötter completed a degree in physics in Münster in 1986. He studied at Stanford University in California from 1986 to 1990, earning a PhD in experimental nuclear physics and laser physics. Before becoming a department manager at Sonopress in Gütersloh in 1991, he worked briefly in the development department at Leybold AG in Hanau. After being in charge of video discs, the video studio and optical mastering for audio CDs, CD-ROMs and video discs at Sonopress for two years, Hülskötter was promoted to the position of chief department manager for mastering and electroplating in 1993.
In 1995 he was appointed to the Management Board with responsibility for the prepress division (audio and CD-ROM premastering, graphic prepress, mastering and electroplating). Upon his appointment as managing director for production, his responsibilities expanded to include the following departments: DVD video premastering, digital archives and online services, CD and DVD production, service and machine development.
From 2002 to 2005, he served as president and CEO of Sonopress LLC in Weaverville, North Carolina.
Hülskötter left the United States to return to Germany in July 2005. He has been a member of the arvato AG Executive Board since that time.
Dr. Hans-Peter Hülskötter is married and lives in Gütersloh.
