Dr. Ulrich Cordes
has served as CFO to the Executive Board of arvato AG since 2009. He was born on September 20, 1967, in Paderborn, East Westphalia.
He grew up in Gütersloh. After studying business administration in Göttingen, Cordes was awarded a doctorate by the German University of Administrative Sciences in Speyer in 1995. In 1997 he joined Bertelsmann AG as a consultant for corporate development at the Corporate Center.
He became the commercial director of Bertelsmann Marketing Service in 2000, and in 2002 he was named head of arvato direct services. Since 2007, Dr. Cordes has served as commercial director of arvato services Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) and as a member of the Executive Board. He was appointed vice president for finance of arvato AG in 2009.
In his capacity as chief financial officer (CFO), he is also chief of staff for arvato AG.
Dr. Ulrich Cordes lives in Gütersloh. He is married and has two children.
