18/01/2012, arvato AG’s rebranding campaign and new Corporate Design have just won platinum! The League of American Communications Professionals (LACP) has awarded a prestigious Magellan Award in platinum to the full-service communications package jointly put together by Medienfabrik Gütersloh’s Corporate Services team and arvato AG’s Corporate Communications department to communicate the new branding. The communications concept was #1 in the »Communications Campaign« category (for companies with more than 10,000 employees). The campaign also received a special »Most Improved« award. In all, the concept came in 6th among this year’s Top 50 contestants, having scored 99 of 100 possible points.

Among other things, the judges were impressed with the broad range and complexity of measures, and the appealing design. Medienfabrik’s branding campaign for arvato is »one of the best communication measures of the year 2011« declared LACP Managing Director Christine Kennedy. 

“In a decentralized company like arvato with more than 67,000 employees around the world, the rebranding was a deeply complex process,” says Klaus Markus, Head of arvato Corporate Communications, adding: “So my team and I, who managed the process in close coordination with arvato’s companies, are all the more delighted about this international recognition.”

“We drew on many of Medienfabrik’s competencies for arvato’s new corporate design and the rebranding, for everything from developing the logo and the logo system, to the online solutions, editorial and language services,” says Stefan Postler, Managing Director of Medienfabrik. “The Magellan Award is a very nice acknowledgment of our work.”

The Magellan Awards are presented annually by the LACP. The LACP serves as a forum for communications professionals from all over the world and recognizes outstanding PR measures with its awards. This year, more than 375 submissions were received.
