Arvato North America to Create 150+ Jobs with New Yakima Service Center Next Month
In collaboration with the Yakima County Economic Development Association (YCDA) and the City of Yakima, Arvato North America has announced that it will open a new state of the art customer care center in Yakima in January 2013. Arvato plans to invest several million dollars in the Yakima center and anticipates creating over 150+ call center jobs there over the next several years.
"Yakima was selected by Arvato after conducting an extensive evaluation of communities across the country,” said Bob Fletcher, EVP North American Customer Service at Arvato. “We are looking for highly motivated individuals with a passion for customer service to handle inbound contacts for our valued clients. We are a worldwide company with over 68,000 employees around the globe and are excited to add this new center in Yakima to our growing business.”
David McFadden, president of the Yakima County Development Association, who worked closely with representatives from Arvato North America to bring them to our Valley, said, “This is excellent news for our region. Arvato Bertelsmann is a well established German company that owns subsidiaries like Random House Publishing and syndicated shows like American Idol and Family Feud. The Arvato North America division provides back office services to businesses and will bring sorely needed new jobs to our community. Lots of the employment opportunities will be at the entry level, but there will also be higher paying technical and management positions at this new operation. We have enjoyed working with Arvato and much of the credit goes to the City of Yakima, JEM Development and WorkSource for getting Arvato to locate in Yakima. Our partners did a great job responding to the company’s questions and needs.”
