Arvato at dmexco: dialog with clients and partners – and digital services in webshops
At this year’s dmexco, Arvato focused on financial services and IT solutions and presented its visitors a holistic communication and shopping experience in the form of a “Customer Journey”. Measured by the large number of visitors, this was a smart approach. The Digital Marketing Services of Bertelsmann Printing Group presented themselves side by side with the Arvato colleagues – and L.I.S.A., a humanoid robot which is currently the focus of a research project at Arvato Systems and welcomed visitors to the booth.
Four columns with infoscreens represented the four stations of the customer journey: “Excellent Digital Advertising”, “Great Customer Experience”, “Risk Management”, and “Payments” represented the key services which Arvato presented to the visitors. Digitalization increasingly influences the way people communicate and consume. At the same time, customers expect a ever-higher levels of service quality, quicker response times, relevant content, and diversified possibilities for where and through which channel they can contact a company. Individualized services and solutions already provide a high degree of automation today. At dmecxo, Arvato demonstrated with two thematic focuses how companies can optimize their customer communications through the use of artificial intelligence or chatbots.
Conversations from person to person – and machine
Arvato Financial Solutions focused its dmexco pitch on check-out optimization solutions. During this final step in the online purchasing process, many customers break off their order process despite having a full shopping cart and an interest in making a purchase. Arvato Financial Solutions supports online shops with smart financial services for the check-out process which increase the likelihood of the consumer to actually conclude a purchase. The Arvato Financial Solutions product AfterPay, for example, offers its clients a new international solution that enables consumers to pay after delivery.
Whether reprocessed data for successful marketing campaigns, consistent content across all communication channels, or an improved customer acquisition: at dmexco, Arvato Systems demonstrated how companies can enhance customer loyalty with innovative and intelligent technologies. The goal is to use data that already exists Infrastructure Services Software the company in the most diversified way for servicing customers.
Before person-to person conversations and discussions between visitors and the Arvato specialists, many visitors first sought contact with the machine at the booth: the Arvato team had brought L.I.S.A. to dmexco for the first time. The Arvato Systems robot, which already was the secret star on the red carpet at the Bertelsmann Party in Summer, attracted an audience at dmecxo. Visitors could have their picture taken with L.I.S.A. and directly receive the photo and publish it on social networks using the #imetlisa hashtag. With or without a snapshot – many used the opportunity to interact with L.I.S.A. and watch her play air guitar.
“For a start, L.I.S.A. of course is an eye-catcher at our booth. But she also demonstrates how intensely we’re dealing with artificial intelligence,” explained Anke Seifert, Marketing Consultant at Arvato Systems. Compared with previous years, dmexco has grown again, she said. “It is therefore even more important to stand out from the overload in the halls. I believe we did that successfully with our ‘Customer Journey’, the touchscreens and a central video wall.”
"Good conversations and valuable contacts"
The Arvato Financial Solutions tradeshow team were also happy with the feedback from the booth visitors. “Especially in comparison with other tradeshows, it’s very positive here that many dealers and service providers ask for specific solutions and do not just look at the screens. Good conversations and valuable contacts resulted. People are impressed with how many services Arvato has in its portfolio and how much we have expanded our portfolio as a financial service provider,” said Hans Schätzle, Head of Sales at Arvato Financial Solutions, describing his impressions.
