In order to offer our worldwide customers innovative solutions quickly and flexibly, we have organized Arvato into seven units – the solution groups: CRM Solutions for the area of customer relationship management, SCM Solutions for supply chain management solutions, and the solution groups of Financial Services, IT Services, Digital Marketing, Print Services, and Replication. Our core markets are Germany, France, the UK, Spain, China and the US, with a further focus on the growth regions India, Poland and Turkey.

Ilkka Pöyry

IFS Manager

has been a member of the Arvato Finance management team in Finland since January 2015.

He is responsible for the IFS department. Ilkka holds a degree of Master of Science in Economics and Business Administration from the University of Vaasa, specializing in Finance. 

Ilkka joined the company in 2012 and has previously held positions of Accounting Officer and Assistant Controller within the company.

Sanna Haimila

Sales Director

Sanna started as Sales Director at Arvato in January 2017. She joined Arvato from Canon where she was heading Canon outsourcing and consultancy business in Finland. She has several years of experience from business process improvement, consulting and financial solutions and automation in sales and business development roles. She holds a Masters degree in Economics from University of Helsinki.

Nordic Management

Jan Altersten

Chief Executive Officer

has been a member of the Board of Directors of Arvato Financial Solutions (AFS) since 2014. As head of the B2C Finance & Nordic Debt Collection division he has global responsibility for Arvato Financial Solutions’ payment and invoice services, which include its proprietary pay-after-delivery solution AfterPay. In addition, he holds full responsibility for the Nordic collection business.

Born on 15 February 1975 in Stockholm, Sweden, Jan has a Bachelor of Legal Science degree from Stockholm University, where he specialised in European banking and financial law. In 2003, he co-founded the law firm Divitas, which merged with Gothia Financial Group in 2006. After holding several senior management positions at Gothia, Jan left in 2011 to become CEO of JSM Investment, a private equity firm focused on online consumer lending and e-commerce. In 2013, he joined Arvato as CCO of the Nordics, Spain and the Netherlands. Jan was appointed President of Arvato Financial Solutions B2C Finance & Nordic Debt Collection in July 2016.

Hugo M Gulbrandsen

Chief Information Officer

is Chief Information Officer of Arvato Financial Solutions,  with responsibility for the Nordic organization. He was born on February 24, 1964 in Hamar, Norway. He  holds degrees in both IT and finance.

Gulbrandsen have more then 30 years experience with managing system development in the financial sector.  In 2001, after 14 years  in Storebrand ,  he left the company and started in Aktiv Kapital as responsible for the invoice-and financial system portfolio. In 2008 Gothia Financial Group  acquired the system portfolio and the development team managed by Gulbrandsen from Aktiv Kapital and he was announced head of development IFS systems. After the merger of Gothia and Arvato Bertelsmann,  Gulbrandsen was announced as head of development IFS systems in the Nordics, Spain and the Netherlands and in October 2014 he was appointed  CIO Arvato Financial Solutions Nordics.

Thomas Mackenbrock

Chief Strategy Officer

Thomas Mackenbrock was appointed Chief Strategy Officer of Arvato in January 2017. Prior to that, he worked for Bertelsmann in several departments, roles and countries. In 2006, he began his Bertelsmann career in Corporate Development at the headquarters in Gütersloh. In 2008, he took over responsibility for the Business Development department. Starting in 2012, he built up the Corporate Center of the Bertelsmann Group in São Paulo as Managing Director Bertelsmann Brazil Investments (BBI). Most recently, he served as Executive Vice President Global Business Strategy at the music subsidiary BMG, where he was responsible for Brazil and China.

Before he joined Bertelsmann, Mackenbrock worked from 2000 to 2006 for McKinsey & Company in the fields high-tech, telecommunications and media.

Mackenbrock studied business and economics in Ingolstadt, Chicago and Leipzig and obtained his doctorate at the Martin Luther University of Halle-Wittenberg. He is married and has two children.

Rolf Hellermann

Chief Financial Officer

Rolf Hellermann has been Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Arvato since July 2015. In addition, he has been serving as head of Bertelsmann’s Corporate Controlling and Strategy department since 2012.

After studying business administration in Vallendar, Los Angeles and Nancy, Hellermann completed his studies with a doctorate from the WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management in Vallendar. Immediately afterwards, in 2004 he joined Bertelsmann’s Corporate Controlling and Strategy department and in 2008 was appointed Vice President in charge of corporate controlling and investment controlling for Random House, Arvato and Direct Group. During his Bertelsmann career, Hellermann has also completed postings at RTL Group in Luxembourg and Gruner + Jahr in Hamburg.

Andreas Krohn

CRM Solutions

Andreas Krohn has been the head of CRM Solutions at Arvato since December 2014. He was born in 1959 in Westerstede, Germany.

Krohn began his professional career at Arvato after studying business in London, Reutlingen and Fontainebleau as an assistant to the management of Mohn Media. After serving in further management positions, he switched to Arvato Services in 1995. From here on, he concentrated on the rapidly expanding airline business, which he used as the basis for expanding the company’s business with customers from the tourism industry over the following years. He also oversaw the development of Arvato’s service segment in Asia during the same time. Krohn was responsible for all of Arvato’s CRM activities in Germany in 2013 and 2014. In December 2014 he took over the company’s international CRM activities bundled under the CRM solution group.

In his new position, Krohn is strengthening his focus on the strategic realignment, international cooperation and digital transformation of Arvato’s global CRM business.

Krohn is married and has three children.

Frank Schirrmeister

SCM Solutions

Frank Schirrmeister has been a member of the Arvato Executive Board since August 2014 and is head of the Arvato SCM solution group. He was born on April 29, 1965, in Herne, Germany.

After studying electrical engineering at the Rhineland-Westphalian Technical University (RWTH) in Aachen, he began his career as a senior adviser at the Arthur Andersen & Co. consultancy firm (now Accenture).

In 1994 Schirrmeister moved to Arvato, where he held management positions in Gütersloh and Versmold. In 1999 he was appointed vice president with responsibility for the global business operations of the Arvato client Microsoft. He has served as CEO of Arvato distribution GmbH since 2004.

Schirrmeister lives in Bielefeld with his wife and two children.

Frank Kebsch

Financial Solutions

Frank Kebsch, CEO Arvato Financial Solutions has been working at different subsidiaries of Arvato Financial Solutions since 2000. He was born on September 15, 1965 in Dortmund.

He studied Economy at the Ruhr University in Bochum and started his career as a Key Account Manager at the Westfalenbank AG in Bochum. In 2000 he moved to the BFS finance GmbH, an Arvato Financial Solutions company, where he held successive management positions for the next years. From 2000 to 2001 he was Head of Credit Department at the BFS finance GmbH. Until 2005 he was the responsible Managing Director at the BFS risk management GmbH and the BFS risk & collection GmbH. In 2005 he was nominated to be the Managing Director and Head of Collection for the total group. Between February 2014 and Mai 2016 he has been the responsible CEO for the Region Central Europe at Arvato Financial Solutions. Kebsch has been CEO of Arvato Financial Solutions since June 2016.

Matthias Moeller

IT Solutions

As CEO of Arvato Systems Matthias Moeller is responsible for Arvato’s Solution Group IT.

After studying computer science and business administration, he joined Bertelsmann Arvato in 1995 where he has held various roles.

He has been a part of the senior management team for IT Services since 2003. In 2012 Matthias Moeller was appointed Managing Director of Arvato Systems perdata GmbH with responsibility for IT Solutions and Services in the Utilities market unit. 

On 1st April 2016, he additionally took on the role of CEO of the Arvato Systems Group.
