Klaus Markus will become head of corporate communications at Arvato
Gütersloh. Klaus Markus (38) will become head of corporate communications at Arvato on Aug. 1. In this position, he will work closely with Gernot Wolf (41), who will assume leadership of the press office at Arvato. As head of corporate communications, Klaus Markus will report directly to Rolf Buch, Chairman of the Arvato Executive

After majoring in cultural and media management in Hamburg, Klaus Markus joined Bertelsmann AG in 1999. As a member of central corporate communications, he worked closely on the exhibit at the world’s fair EXPO 2000 in Hanover, Germany. Afterward, he became project director of STEP 21, a non-profit organization established by Bertelsmann. In 2004, he accepted a public-relations job at the DirectGroup, serving as the director of corporate communications in his last position there. In February 2008, he joined the energy company EWE AG in Oldenburg, where he is currently the head of corporate communications.
Klaus Markus lives in Rheda-Wiedenbrück, is married and the father of three daughters.
