Hervé Milcent joins the Arvato Executive Board
Gütersloh/Lille, 25 March 2010 - Arvato has appointed Hervé Milcent as the first ever French manager to the Arvato Executive Board, reflecting the increasing internationalization of its operations. The CEO of Arvato southern Europe will join the media and communication services provider’s Executive Board with effect from 1 April 2010. In his new role, Hervé Milcent will focus in particular on systematically advancing the expansion of Arvato’s international services business.

After completing his degree in business law and a Masters in aviation law, Hervé Milcent began his career at the La Poste Group in 1988, where he held various executive positions. In 1998, he joined Arvato services and since then he and his team have continually expanded Arvato’s activities in France. In 2001 he was appointed CEO. Since February 2007, in addition to his duties at Arvato services in France he has also served as CEO of all Arvato services businesses in southern Europe, especially in Spain and Italy. His area of responsibility includes subsidiaries in six countries, which employ a total of 12,000 people.
Milcent was born in Paris in 1963, and lives in Lille. He is married and has three children.
As of 1 April the Executive Board of Arvato will consist of Rolf Buch (CEO of Arvato and a member of the Bertelsmann Executive Board), Ulrich Cordes (CFO), Hans-Peter Hülskötter (CEO of Arvato digital services), Eckhard Südmersen (CEE of Arvato services), Markus Schmedtmann (CEE of Arvato print) and Hervé Milcent (CEO of Arvato services southern Europe).
