Service Center Open Day generates great interest
The first nationwide Service Center Open Day was a resounding success for Arvato Customer Services. Last weekend, almost 3,000 visitors took up Arvato’s invitation and made their way to a total of 14 locations from Stralsund to Eiweiler and from Wilhelmshaven to Chemnitz, to gain an insight into the work of this fast-growing sector or found out about the career and training opportunities available.
“As a service provider we deliberately operate in the background and many customers are unaware that when they call a service center of a well-known airline or an insurance company, they are in fact being assisted by one of our Arvato employees”, explains Andreas Krohn, Director of Arvato Customer Services. Krohn continues: “In this respect we were very pleased that the visitors showed great interest in the work that we do.”
The first Service Center Open Day was under the aegis of BITKOM and the Federal Employment Agency. In addition to Arvato, service centers from avocis Deutschland, buw, Deutsche Telekom Kundenservice, D+S, Invoco Group, KiKxxl and walter services also took part in the campaign day.
The service center sector in Germany has seen dynamic growth over a number of years. There are now some 500,000 employees working in this interesting business segment, whose duties involve much more than just telephone work. Arvato alone has over 10,000 Customer Services employees at 26 locations across Germany.
