Arvato named Patron of The Prince’s Trust
Founded in 1976 by HRH The Prince of Wales, The Prince’s Trust has helped more than 750,000 disadvantaged young people to develop the confidence and skills to move into work, training or education. As a Patron, Arvato will be supporting Prince’s Trust’s programmes by running paid apprenticeships and creating mentoring and training opportunities to help young people find work. Arvato employees will also be taking part in traditional fundraising and volunteering schemes.
Part of Arvato’s membership will include joining The Prince’s Trust Technology Leadership Group (TLG), a fundraising and networking forum established specifically for the UK technology, media and telecoms industries. Since 2002, the TLG has raised more than £13 million and hundreds of its members have worked directly with young people to build skills and help them into work.
“Youth unemployment remains high, however with support from organisations like Arvato, The Prince’s Trust is able to support thousands of these young people to re-build their confidence and gain vital skills and experience for work,” said Ben Marson, Director – Corporate Partnerships, The Prince’s Trust. “We are delighted that Arvato is now a Patron of The Trust and are grateful for its commitment to helping Britain’s most disadvantaged young people.”
“Outsourcing is a people business and unlocking the skills of our employees is key to the success of our client partnerships,” said Debra Maxwell, Managing Director, Arvato UK & Ireland. “We’re looking forward to applying this experience to our partnership with The Prince’s Trust to make a real difference to young people in the UK. The work of The Prince’s Trust truly reflects our corporate values partnership, entrepreneurship, creativity and citizenship, and we’re very proud to be supporting such an inspirational charity.”
