arvato’s Medienfabrik wins ‘HR Innovation of the Year 2014’ award
The judges were particularly impressed by the idea of using new communication paths in student marketing, and stressed the societal relevance of the approach. The “HR Innovation of the Year” award is the second prize for the platform, which was only founded this year: In September, blicksta had won the European Digital Communication Award for “Innovation of the Year.” “blicksta’s latest triumph shows that Arvato’s cross-divisional innovation initiative is beginning to bear fruit,” says Arvato CEO Achim Berg.
blicksta initiator Gero Hesse, who as Managing Director of Medienfabrik is responsible for matters of employer branding and HR marketing, comments: “The shortage of skilled workers, especially among young graduates, is a pressing problem for many companies. An innovative tool in student marketing that takes a long-term view and is individual, mobile and integrative, didn’t exist in the market before. blicksta changes that by creating a network that matches students and employers in a targeted way. We are delighted that we were able to win over the judges with our approach.”
Launched in June 2014, the platform – whose founding partners include Coca-Cola Erfrischungsgetränke AG and Deutsche Telekom as well as the Central Association of German Tradespeople and several universities – already has 25,000 users.
