EuroPark and Arvato become market leaders in their field
The hassle of waiting in line to get passed the barriers and into a car park is becoming history. Arvato Financial Solutions will be a crucial partner when EuroPark introduces its new parking concept. With this new technology, customers can drive freely in and out of car parks, and choose from a number of payment options.
The new ANPR technology employs cameras to detect number plates. The duration of your stay is calculated automatically by registering the time of entering and exiting the area.
“You don’t have to do anything, no matter how long your visit is, and the procedure of obtaining a ticket is gone. We monitor the time of your visit, while you can focus on other, more important things”, says Jan Arve Kaldheim, Commercial Director of EuroPark.
Customers can still use the parking meter or a payment app, but the new payment solution is there if you choose not to do anything. In such cases, EuroPark, in cooperation with Arvato, will send you an invoice. If you opt for this solution, you’ll receive an overview of your parking sessions by post – and you don’t have to worry about registering or paying while you’re there.
A flexible solution to suit the parking firm’s specific needs
The objective of the new solution from Arvato is to make the whole payment process easier for both the parking firm and its customers.
“EuroPark has outsourced all the invoicing administration to us. They receive payment as soon as we receive the relevant data from them, and we handle all customer enquiries, payments, reminders and debt collection”, says Kristin Reklev, Sales Manager at Arvato.
Reklev emphasises that Arvato’s offer can be customised to the specific needs of a parking firm.
“We know parking, and we know the industry well enough to look forward and be flexible. We’re simplifying the process for both the parking firm and its customers, and we’re offering solutions to suit their specific needs”, she says.
An excellent option for business travellers
“Invoicing is the easiest option for the customer because they can pay the invoice from their favourite armchair at home. It’s really simple. When we have identified the owner of the car, we send them an invoice. The invoice specifies the location, time, date and cost of the parking”, says Kaldheim.
According to the Commercial Director, this is an excellent option for those who use their private car for work.
“If the meeting lasts longer than planned, you avoid getting fined. Thanks to our consolidated invoices, you also avoid having to carrying around numerous receipts. These invoices provide relevant details for the employer if they’re the ones covering the cost”, he explains. By the end of 2018, the new concept will be introduced to 25 Avinor airports across the country, making EuroPark and Arvato market leaders in the field.
