Arvato positioned as a Leader in IDC MarketScape: Worldwide Finance and Accounting BPO Services 2017 Vendor Assessment
The report represents a vendor assessment including both qualitative and quantitative characteristics that define success in the Finance and Accounting (F&A) Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) services market.
The IDC MarketScape evaluated 14 F&A BPO service providers with global services portfolios based on a framework that highlights four key success factors, including “ability to offer services across the value chain of any customer’s F&A function and capability that spans automation, analytics and mobility;” “ability to assist customers with reducing operational costs, growth, and managing customers;” “managing the basics;” and “scale and people.” These factors are expected to be the most influential for success in the market in both the short term and the long term
In naming Arvato as a Leader, the IDC MarketScape rated Arvato highly against IDC's future strategy criteria for its functionality/offering road map and growth and marketing strategies.
Arvato is described as having “strong performance of large-scale client wins and contract expansions in the O2C space, specifically in the retail and technology sectors”. The report also states that “Arvato is able to drive value for its customers with a holistic approach to digitization through RPA, analytics, and integrated solutions”.
“We are proud to be recognized as an IDC MarketScape leader, demonstrating our ability to deliver business outcomes to our clients”, said Rainer Majcen, President Finance BPO at Arvato Financial Solutions. “We believe Arvato’s placement as a Leader reflects our ability to deliver complex, global F&A BPO programmes and acknowledges our ability to drive digital transformation capabilities and deliver real business value.”
According to the IDC MarketScape report, Buyers feel Arvato has strong business acumen, and stated that they felt Arvato is “motivated to deliver high-quality engagements, and is trustworthy and flexible.”
"The F&A BPO market is mature; deals are becoming increasingly small, and most, if not all, F&A BPO providers offer the full suite of standard FAO capabilities (R2R, O2C, and P2P). For providers, this means differentiation and value must come from your technology, ability to provide new and more cost-effective pricing models, and ability to drive digital transformation capabilities faster than your competitor”, says Ali Close, senior analyst, Worldwide Finance, Accounting, and Procurement BPO Services.
She added: “Arvato has solid organic and inorganic investment plans to create new F&A BPO services and intellectual property with a focus on the shift to digital, increasing development of as-a-service solutions, and investing and co-innovating solutions beyond traditional F&A including RPA, analytics, and fraud management.”
