While no-one can predict the British weather, demand for Bosch’s lawn and garden equipment is growing every year. In late 2011, Arvato secured a five-year, £10 million partnership with Bosch to provide the warehousing and distribution for over one million products. Despite the tight turn-around to get ready for the first peak season, team spirit and a ‘whatever it takes’ attitude meant that together Bosch and Arvato delivered. Extended working hours, an extra 40% of flexible warehousing space, additional support of freight management, and fantastic support from Bosch, enabled the team to deal with hugely volatile demand – with truck requirements fluctuating from single figures to 70 within 24 hours.
