NAB 2012: Arvato Presents New Cloud Computing Solution for Film and TV
Las Vegas. From April 16 to 19, 2012, Arvato will take part in the world’s largest broadcasters’ tradeshow, The National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) in Las Vegas. There, they will present new features of the cloud-based content platform ScreenerONE, a collaboration platform facilitating TV and film productions. At this year’s NAB, Arvato and Microsoft Corp. will show the interested trade public new features of the solution, which uses Microsoft Windows Azure Media Services.
In ScreenerONE, all digital media content required in TV and film production, such as video sequences, sounds, music, storyboards, scripts and photos can be uploaded and edited from anywhere. Arvato believes this will greatly facilitate and accelerate coordination among directors, producers and TV channels, as well as lowering costs and delivering better production results. All daytime drama series on German TV are already produced using Arvato’s digital distribution and collaboration service.
The revised version of ScreenerONE may now be used on the iPad, as well. In addition, the new user interface gives users direct access to archive content both in the cloud and in near-line storage systems. The new ScreenerONE solution also allows for direct insertion of comments (Annotation Features) and migration to the editing software.
Christian Horz, Vice President Business Development & Media Technology at Arvato: “We are delighted to unveil the high-quality new features of our cloud computing solution to the trade public at this year’s NAB show. We are thrilled to be using Windows Azure Media Services for this project and look forward to continuing to work and grow on Windows Azure.“
