Frank Schirrmeister Appointed to Arvato Executive Board
Arvato has a new Executive Board member: Frank Schirrmeister (49), Head of the Arvato Supply Chain Management (SCM) Solution Group, has joined the top management board of the international technology provider with retroactive effect from August 1, 2014. With the appointment of Schirrmeister the company underscores the increasing importance of the integrated Supply Chain Management business for Arvato. In his new role, Schirrmeister will focus on the internationalization of Arvato’s SCM businesses, develop additional options for dynamic growth, and in particular drive forward innovations in the areas of e-commerce services and healthcare SCM.

After studying electrical engineering at the Rheinisch-Westfälische Technische Hochschule in Aachen, Frank Schirrmeister began his career as a senior consultant at the consulting firm Arthur Andersen & Co. (now Accenture). In 1994 he joined Arvato where he held various senior positions in Gütersloh and Versmold. In 1999, Frank Schirrmeister was appointed Vice President with responsibility for the global operations of the customer Microsoft. Since 2004, he has served as CEO of Arvato distribution GmbH and since 2014 has been responsible for the global activities of the SCM Solution Group.
Frank Schirrmeister was born on 29 April 1965 in Herne. He lives in Bielefeld with his wife and two children.
The Arvato Executive Board is now comprised of Achim Berg (CEO of Arvato and a member of the Bertelsmann Executive Board), Dr. Ulrich Cordes (CFO), Ralf Bierfischer (strategy), Christine Scheffler (HR), Frank Schirrmeister (SCM Solutions) and Michael Weinreich (Financial Solutions).
