Vendor Management Inventory
The Arvato VMI system, retail inventory management (rim) provides sophisticated software that bridges the gap between suppliers and retailers. It offers automated management of its own products while providing performance analysis and generating order recommendations.
How it works:
- r.i.m. works as a Software as a Service (SaaS) and can be accessed from any Windows PC or mobile device with a working internet connection.
- The system collects all data from suppliers and retailers and generates recommendations for individual products and quantities to be ordered by the branches.
- These recommendations are based on the evaluation of a number of factors such as historical data, customer or product-based forecasts, and many others.
- Valuable evaluations and analyses like sales or KPIs can be presented through customized dashboards and reports.
As part of our close business relationship in SCM we have chosen arvato to provide a comprehensive VMI solution for key markets in Europe. The system, processes and people behind the services are experienced and offer the highest level of service in a cost competitive environment. We are very satisfied with the cooperation and look forward to further strengthening our business relationship.Gerhard Blum, SVP International Distribution & Supply Chain - Sony Music Entertainment International
All elements of inventory management are fully integrated into our global SAP system with a comprehensive, customized report that gives you inventory transparency that aids in generating better forecasts, reliable master data, and inventory levels. We coordinate with your service providers and suppliers and purchase the products, transferring them into our books.
To ensure that your customers do not run out of product and avoid losing sales we implement an automatic ordering and replenishment (VMI) process that monitors and manages inventories throughout the supply chain. We also monitor lot, batch, and serial numbers throughout the entire distribution process.
