Thomas Mackenbrock

CSO Arvato

Thomas Mackenbrock was appointed Chief Strategy Officer of Arvato in January 2017. Prior to that, he worked for Bertelsmann in several departments, roles and countries. In 2006, he began his Bertelsmann career in Corporate Development at the headquarters in Gütersloh. In 2008, he took over responsibility for the Business Development department. Starting in 2012, he built up Bertelsmann Brazil Investments (BBI) and the Bertelsmann Corporate Center in São Paulo as Managing Director. Most recently, he served as Executive Vice President Global Business Strategy at the music subsidiary BMG, where he was responsible for Brazil and China.

Before he joined Bertelsmann, Mackenbrock worked from 2000 to 2006 for McKinsey & Company in the fields high-tech, telecommunications and media.

Mackenbrock studied business and economics in Ingolstadt, Chicago and Leipzig and obtained his doctorate at the Martin Luther University of Halle-Wittenberg. He is married and has two children.

Rolf Hellermann

CFO Arvato

Rolf Hellermann has been Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Arvato since July 2015. In addition, he has been serving as head of Bertelsmann’s Corporate Controlling and Strategy department since 2012.

After studying business administration in Vallendar, Los Angeles and Nancy, Hellermann completed his studies with a doctorate from the WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management in Vallendar. Immediately afterwards, in 2004 he joined Bertelsmann’s Corporate Controlling and Strategy department and in 2008 was appointed Vice President in charge of corporate controlling and investment controlling for Random House, Arvato and Direct Group. During his Bertelsmann career, Hellermann has also completed postings at RTL Group in Luxembourg and Gruner + Jahr in Hamburg.

Andreas Krohn

CEO Arvato CRM Solutions

Andreas Krohn has been the head of CRM Solutions at Arvato since December 2014. He was born in 1959 in Westerstede, Germany.

Krohn began his professional career at Arvato after studying business in London, Reutlingen and Fontainebleau as an assistant to the management of Mohn Media. After serving in further management positions, he switched to Arvato Services in 1995. From here on, he concentrated on the rapidly expanding airline business, which he used as the basis for expanding the company’s business with customers from the tourism industry over the following years. He also oversaw the development of Arvato’s service segment in Asia during the same time. Krohn was responsible for all of Arvato’s CRM activities in Germany in 2013 and 2014. In December 2014 he took over the company’s international CRM activities bundled under the CRM solution group.

In his new position, Krohn is strengthening his focus on the strategic realignment, international cooperation and digital transformation of Arvato’s global CRM business.

Krohn is married and has three children.

Frank Schirrmeister

CEO Arvato SCM Solutions

Frank Schirrmeister has been a member of the Arvato Executive Board since August 2014 and is head of the Arvato SCM solution group. He was born on April 29, 1965, in Herne, Germany.

After studying electrical engineering at the Rhineland-Westphalian Technical University (RWTH) in Aachen, he began his career as a senior adviser at the Arthur Andersen & Co. consultancy firm (now Accenture).

In 1994 Schirrmeister moved to Arvato, where he held management positions in Gütersloh and Versmold. In 1999 he was appointed vice president with responsibility for the global business operations of the Arvato client Microsoft. He has served as CEO of Arvato distribution GmbH since 2004.

Schirrmeister lives in Bielefeld with his wife and two children.

Frank Kebsch

CEO Arvato Financial Solutions

Frank Kebsch, CEO Arvato Financial Solutions has been working at different subsidiaries of Arvato Financial Solutions since 2000. He was born on September 15, 1965 in Dortmund.

He studied Economy at the Ruhr University in Bochum and started his career as a Key Account Manager at the Westfalenbank AG in Bochum. In 2000 he moved to the BFS finance GmbH, an Arvato Financial Solutions company, where he held successive management positions for the next years. From 2000 to 2001 he was Head of Credit Department at the BFS finance GmbH. Until 2005 he was the responsible Managing Director at the BFS risk management GmbH and the BFS risk & collection GmbH. In 2005 he was nominated to be the Managing Director and Head of Collection for the total group. Between February 2014 and Mai 2016 he has been the responsible CEO for the Region Central Europe at Arvato Financial Solutions. Kebsch has been CEO of Arvato Financial Solutions since June 2016.

Matthias Moeller

As CEO of Arvato Systems Matthias Moeller is responsible for Arvato’s Solution Group IT.

After studying computer science and business administration, he joined Bertelsmann Arvato in 1995 where he has held various roles.

He has been a part of the senior management team for IT Services since 2003. In 2012 Matthias Moeller was appointed Managing Director of Arvato Systems perdata GmbH with responsibility for IT Solutions and Services in the Utilities market unit. 

On 1st April 2016, he additionally took on the role of CEO of the Arvato Systems Group.

Management Arvato South Africa

Christian Bust is the Managing Director of Arvato South Africa since 2010. He is responsible for the Arvato activities in South Africa as well as in the Sub-Saharan African Region. He was born on January 29, 1981 in Hildesheim, Germany.

After graduating from the Otto von Guericke University in Magdeburg and the Universidad de Valparaíso in Chile with a focus on International Management and Corporate Governance, Christian Bust joined Bertelsmann Distribution GmbH in 2007 as Junior Key Account Manager for an international IT/High-Tech client.

Later in 2007, he was given additional responsibility and moved to Dublin, Ireland as Client Liaison Manager. After one year in Dublin, Mr. Bust returned to Arvato in Germany and took over the responsibility for another IT client as Key Account Manager.

In 2009, Mr. Bust became General Manager for Arvato South Africa and relocated to South Africa accordingly. In 2010 he became Managing Director of Arvato South Africa. Since then he has been responsible holistically for Arvato’s business unit in South Africa.

Christian Bust lives with his girl friend in Port Elizabeth, South Africa.

Boris Scholz

Boris Scholz is the Managing Director of Arvato distribution GmbH since 2011. He is responsible for the activities of the Corporate Information Management division. He was born on June 30, 1971 in Marburg, Germany.

After graduating from the German Foreign Trade and Transportation Academy (DAV) with a focus on marketing and logistics, Boris Scholz joined Bertelsmann Distribution (today Arvato distribution GmbH) in 1999 as a Key Account Manager for an automotive customer.

In 2001, he was given additional responsibility for several customers in the automobile sector, of which he became Director in 2005. Two years later, as a board member of the SCM organization, Mr. Scholz founded the Corporate Information Management division. It combined sectors which were previously operating separately and it was given a new strategic orientation.

In 2010, Mr. Scholz became its CEO. Since the re-organization of the SCM organization, Mr. Scholz has been responsible for the automobile as well as the banking and insurances industry portfolio. In addition, he looks after the internationalization of CIM services in cooperation with other SCM industry segments. As a member of the SCM management board, Mr. Scholz has been in charge of international transport management activities since 2013.    

Boris Scholz lives in Münster, Germany with his wife and three children.
